Five Dice is a familiar dice game that follows the standard rules of YAHTZEE*, Yachty, Yatzy, and similar titles. TRADITIONAL GAME MODE:
Traditional mode closely follows the classic rules of YAHTZEE. You get up to 3 rolls per turn across 13 turns per game. Tap the dice you wish to keep after each roll. Maximize your points by getting at least three of a kind in each left-side category. Score 63 or more points on the left side to earn a 35-point bonus. On the right side, score for 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Small Straight, Large Straight, Five Dice, and Chance. Your first Five Dice (all five dice matching) scores 50 points, with a 100-point bonus for every one after. This mode has its own dedicated leaderboard.
SEQUENTIAL GAME MODE:
In Sequential mode, scores must be allocated in a fixed order:
Left Side - 1's through 6's
Right Side - 3 of a Kind through Chance
At the start, all score categories are grayed out. After the first roll of a turn, the valid category for that turn becomes active and turns white. Once your three rolls are complete, you must place your score in that active category. The only exception is if you roll a Five Dice; you may then score it immediately, and the sequence resumes on your next turn. Subsequent Five Dices earn a 100-point bonus but must still follow the sequence. Sequential mode has its own leaderboard.
RUSSIAN ROULETTE GAME MODE:
You get only one roll per turn and must assign a score immediately—even if it's a zero. A unique strategy is required to maximize your points. Can you figure it out? Russian Roulette also features its own leaderboard!
PLUS GAME MODE:
Plus mode introduces a roll-over mechanic. Any unused rolls from a turn are added to your next turn. A standard game has 13 turns of 3 rolls each. In Plus mode, if you only use 2 rolls on your first turn, you'll have 4 rolls on your second. If you only use 1 of those, you'll have 6 on your third, and so on. Plus mode comes with its own leaderboard.
SCORING:
After every roll, all valid scoring options are highlighted in yellow for quick reference. Where you place your score is your strategic choice. Each game consists of thirteen turns with up to 3 rolls each. After a roll, tap dice to keep them; the rest will be re-rolled. After three rolls, you must assign your score before proceeding. The first Five Dice is worth 50 points, with a 100-point bonus for each one after. Score 63 or higher on the left side of the scorecard to earn an additional 35-point bonus.
