Mon Dieu, ils produisent enfin une émission de télé-réalité sur Overcooked

Holy pizza, they're finally bringing the chaos of Overcooked to reality TV.

Deadline broke the news today that Netflix is developing a new series with A24, marking the studio's debut into unscripted television.

Described as an unscripted format similar to Nailed It! and Floor Is Lava, the show will center on culinary challenges inspired by the frantic energy of the Overcooked video games. Expect tasks like preparing meals in the back of two moving trucks—probably. We're sure about that.

Currently in its early development phase, the project is being shepherded by Gemma Langford, Oli De-Vine, and Phil Duncan, all key figures from developer Ghost Town Games.

Since its 2016 launch, Overcooked has been a beloved co-op experience for up to four players, challenging teams to fulfill customer orders while navigating increasingly absurd kitchen hazards. It remains a delightfully chaotic title, earning an impressive 8.4/10 score upon its Nintendo Switch release in 2017. At the time, our reviewer praised it as one of the freshest couch co-op games ever made, highlighting its perfect mix of strategy and mayhem that forces teammates to think quickly while shouting at each other across smartly designed levels.

In 2021, Overcooked: All You Can Eat was released, bundling both the original game and its sequel, Overcooked 2, along with online multiplayer support and all previously released DLC content.
