Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new insights about their upcoming game, *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, through an engaging new trailer. Initially, it was announced that the game would allow players to explore two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. However, the latest preview suggests that Lazio serves as the initial setting, setting the stage for the main adventure in Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio starts off as a tranquil region, but a sudden catastrophe forces players to venture into uncharted territories. These territories are none other than Britain, known in the game as Albion, which presents players with a host of challenges including a harsh climate, rebellious local tribes, and the logistical difficulties posed by its distance from Rome.
In *Anno 117: Pax Romana*, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges. The game encourages players to find solutions beyond mere violence, promoting peace by respecting and integrating with local customs. A notable feature of the game is the ability to customize ships, allowing players to strategically choose between enhancing speed with oarsmen or boosting firepower with archery turrets.
*Anno 117: Pax Romana* is set to launch in 2025, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms, promising a rich and immersive experience for strategy game enthusiasts.
