Studio Wildcard has unveiled an exciting updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years of planned updates for the game. The remaster of the popular survival crafting game ARK: Survival Evolved was initially released in early access in late November 2023, and since then, Studio Wildcard has been consistently rolling out new content.
On January 11, the developer from Redmond, Washington, shared their roadmap that extends until late 2026. The first major update isn't a content addition but a crucial technical patch that will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance enhancements and the reintroduction of support for Nvidia's frame generation technology, which was previously removed in mid-2024 due to engine issues.
ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's initiative to restructure the game's data, enabling players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This approach aims to make the game's install size more manageable. Following the UE5 update, new content will be introduced in April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.
A new paid DLC map is scheduled for June 2025, with details to be announced possibly in early spring. In August 2025, another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will join the game.
In 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering the Genesis expansions from ARK: Survival Evolved. Genesis: Part 1 is set for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August, each accompanied by a part of Bob's True Tales, which was previously announced as part of the game's season pass. The remastered Fjordur map will be released for free in December 2026, and three more Fantastic Tames will be introduced throughout the year.
While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises planned for ARK: Survival Ascended in the coming years.
