What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered
The short answer is that you can continue to explore and engage in nearly everything available before finishing the main quest. Assassin’s Creed Shadows features a vast open world brimming with side content. Completing the main quest does not restrict access to this content, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Feudal Japan even after the main storyline concludes.
Moreover, Ubisoft will introduce new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch, ensuring there's always something fresh to do, even after achieving 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Even after the credits roll, your journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not be over. In my playthrough, the title and credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue.
To unlock the epilogue and experience the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the associated achievements.
Additionally, you can earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke near the game's end. These armor sets come with perks that enhance each protagonist’s unique playstyle, and their designs are sure to resonate with longtime Assassin’s Creed fans.
As for endgame content, players can continue to progress and reach the game’s maximum level cap long after the credits roll.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there's much more to anticipate. New content will be added via the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is slated for release in 2025, promising over 10 hours of new content set on the Island of Awaji.
