In a cryptic yet exciting post on Twitter/X earlier today, the official Bethesda account teased an announcement scheduled for tomorrow at 8:00 am PT/11:00 am ET. While the tweet didn’t explicitly confirm the subject, the prominent "IV" in the teaser image, combined with a background resembling a classic Oblivion artwork, has fans buzzing with anticipation.
Speculation surrounding an Oblivion remaster has been swirling for years, with rumors gradually evolving into concrete leaks. Our first hint came in 2020 when a Bethesda release schedule leaked during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial, listing a remaster for fiscal year 2022. Although the timeline seemed distant at the time, further developments surfaced in January of this year. Leaks revealed that the project was no longer a simple remaster but a full-fledged remake, with Bethesda collaborating with support studio Virtuos. Last week, these claims gained credibility when additional leaks surfaced from Virtuos’ website, showcasing images of the remake in action.
According to the latest leaks, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. The Deluxe Edition, expected to include iconic extras like horse armor, has also been confirmed.
Stay tuned tomorrow for what promises to be an unforgettable reveal.
