Iconic Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week. His family is now reaching out to fans for support during this challenging time.

As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife Kim, along with other family members, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses and support the family while he is unable to work. The campaign page states, "Right now, Wes continues to battle for his life in an intensive care unit."

Johnson had volunteered to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22. After flying to the city and checking into his hotel, concerns arose when he did not appear at the event. "When he didn’t show up at the event, his wife Kim tried desperately to get in touch with him," the GoFundMe post explained. "It took hotel security to enter his room and discover him unconscious and barely alive. Emergency medical technician crews struggled to find a pulse."

The GoFundMe campaign initially aimed to raise $50,000, but the outpouring of support from fans has been overwhelming, with the total now reaching $144,791 from 2,200 contributors. Johnson, aside from his extensive work in video games, has served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and has appeared in various film and television roles.

In the gaming world, Johnson's voice has brought to life many beloved characters, primarily in Bethesda games. His most recent role was as Ron Hope in Starfield. He has also voiced the Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among others.
