Civ 7 Roadmap Revealed, Includes Free Updates

The developers at Firaxis Games have shared their roadmap for Civ 7 just before its launch on February 11, promising four new content releases in March. In the lead-up to the game's release, Firaxis has detailed what players can expect in early and late March. The updates are divided into three categories: Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. Here's what's coming in March:
Looking beyond the March updates, the developers have teased the addition of 2 new Leaders, 4 new Civilizations, and 4 new World Wonders. This content will be accompanied by new events and challenges for players to engage with. While specific release dates for these additions have not been disclosed, players can also look forward to further content updates starting in October 2025 and beyond.
Firaxis also shared a list of future updates that were not included in the initial launch but are on the horizon. These updates are already in development and include:
- Adding Teams to multiplayer
- Expanding the number of players in multiplayer mode to 8

- Creating "a wider variety of map types"
