The heat is on in Marvel Snap, with Surtur and his fiery crew from Muspelheim bringing the sizzle to the card battler. A few weeks ago, a thrilling update rolled out, introducing new characters, locations, and the much-anticipated return of a fan-favorite event. Yes, you guessed it—Deadpool’s Diner is back and ready to serve up some fun until December 3rd. If you're new to this mode, get ready to dive into a series of escalating challenges where you'll bet your Bubs at each table to climb the ranks.
As you conquer each table, you'll advance to the next, where the *steaks* (pun intended!) get higher. Triumph at the top tier, and you'll be rewarded with the exclusive King Eitri and a unique Jane Foster variant illustrated by Andrea Guardino. Since this mode is separate from the traditional ladder matches, it's the perfect low-stress environment to experiment and enjoy some quirky gameplay mechanics.
Alongside the return of Deadpool’s Diner, the update also introduced Surtur, the fire giant and herald of Ragnarok. Surtur's card packs a punch with a powerful ability: when you play a card with 10 or more Power, he gains +3 Power. Building a deck to exploit this skill promises some explosive action.
Surtur isn't the only new face in town. He's joined by an array of Series 5 characters including Frigga, Malekith, Fenris Wolf, and Gorr the God Butcher. Additionally, the dwarf king Eitri will make his debut in December as a Series 4 card. Curious about how these cards stack up? Check out our comprehensive *Marvel Snap tier list* to see where they fit in.
The Norse theme continues with the introduction of two new locations: Valhalla and Yggdrasil. Valhalla will repeat On Reveal abilities after turn 4, adding an exciting twist to your strategy, while Yggdrasil will boost all cards at a different location by +1 Power after each turn, ramping up the action.
