Acquire Your Pet
Upon launching Diablo 4 Season 7, immediately visit the nearest town's Wardrobe. Claim your pet! While combat-ineffective, your pet efficiently gathers gold and materials, freeing you to focus on combat and loot acquisition.
Recruit Your Mercenaries
Vessel of Hatred expansion owners should visit the Den to recruit Mercenaries. Solo players can utilize two, significantly easing leveling and combat while building Rapport for extra rewards.
Conquer the Seasonal Questline
Begin on Normal difficulty and follow the green leaf-marked seasonal questline. This introduces Season 7 mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and new Witch powers. While relatively short, it involves puzzles and primarily focuses on Headhunt zone Favor farming. This is also the optimal method to reach level 60. Repeatedly defeat Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, and upgrade Witch powers concurrently.
Unlock Class Power
A helpful change: Class-specific priority quests are skipped if completed on a previous character (requires prior login with that character on the Eternal realm).
Dominate Headhunt Zones
Focus on completing Whispers within Headhunt zones. Prioritize smaller zones for higher enemy density and faster mob farming. Always prioritize these Whisper quests:
- Fugitive Shepherd: Escort animals.
- Fugitive: Defeat Elites, interact with roots to recover a head or destroy a husk.
Exchange 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers. Note: A Raven of the Tree spawns in each Headhunt zone, offering an alternative Favor exchange point.
Harness Witchcraft Powers
At the Tree of Whispers, purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot (obtained by killing Rot enemies). Prioritize damage upgrades. Conquer Rootholds

Open Exposed Roots for loot; modifiers affect their quantity and quality. Save Roothold keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.
Utilize Occult Gems
Craft Occult Gems (Gelena at the Tree of Whispers) for jewelry; they outperform regular gems. Focus on late-game crafting; they require significant Restless Rot and Heads (dropped by Roothold bosses and Headhunt Fugitives; Draught of Whispers increases chances).
Tackle Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons
