Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.
The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently deactivated.
A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse:
Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling premise: action-packed battles featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. While initially met with enthusiasm, the game's long beta period and inconsistent updates contributed to player attrition.
The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant time investment or in-app purchases to fully develop characters, also proved a deterrent for many. Despite this, the game boasted impressive character designs and high-quality graphics.
The Unexpected EOS Announcement:
The timing of the EOS announcement is particularly surprising, coming just a week after the release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character. This abrupt closure echoes Kabam's past decisions, including the sudden shutdowns of Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
The unexpected closure leaves many players disappointed, especially given the recent updates. What are your thoughts on the Disney Mirrorverse EOS? Share your comments below. And don't forget to check out our latest article on Zombies In Conflict Of Nations: World War 3 Season 15!
