Dune: Awakening recently hosted its open beta weekend, offering fans their first 20-25 hours of gameplay alongside various features. During the Global LAN Party livestream on May 10, players uncovered an exploit that allows them to stun opponents indefinitely in PvP.
The "stunlock exploit" occurs when a player repeatedly executes quick knife attacks against enemies with depleted stamina. The target becomes unable to defend themselves, activate abilities, or escape, effectively trapping them in a perpetual stagger state.
This issue gained significant attention after being showcased during popular streamers Tyler1 and Shroud’s live gameplay sessions.
Funcom Promises Fix Before Launch
During the Global LAN Party livestream, Funcom developers observed the stunlock exploit and promptly addressed the bug. Dune: Awakening World Director Jeff Gagné and Lead Producer Ole Andreas Haley assured players that this issue would be resolved before the game’s official launch.
