by Peyton May 18,2025

FromSoftware has excited fans by sending out confirmation emails for the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test. Announced via their X (formerly Twitter) account on January 30, 2025, the emails have sparked joy among the community, with many expressing their eagerness and appreciation for being selected. If you've received your confirmation, mark your calendar for February 11, 2025, when you'll receive a unique code to download the Network Test client for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

The registration window for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test was open from January 10 to January 20, 2025. Unfortunately, those who applied but didn't receive an email won't have another chance as no additional test dates have been announced.

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Details

Elden Ring Nightreign Scalpers and Scammers Already on the Loose

FromSoftware describes the network test as a "preliminary verification test" where selected testers will play a segment of the game before its full launch. This test will also involve large-scale network load tests to ensure the online systems are robust enough to handle multiple players simultaneously. The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test is scheduled to run from February 14 to February 16, 2025, with five 3-hour sessions:

  • Session 1: February 14th from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
  • Session 2: February 14th from 7 PM to 10 PM PT
  • Session 3: February 15th from 11 AM to 2 PM PT
  • Session 4: February 16th from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
  • Session 5: February 16th from 7 PM to 10 PM PT

Beware of Scammers and Scalpers

Be cautious, as scammers are already exploiting the excitement around the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test. Reports indicate a scam on Steam where players receive fake invites that redirect to malicious sites, potentially hacking accounts and spamming friend lists. FromSoftware has only used their official website and social media for registration and confirmations, so any other links should be treated with suspicion.

Additionally, scalpers have jumped on the bandwagon, listing "confirmed test codes" for sale at exorbitant prices ranging from $150 to $200, and some even going up for auction. Remember, these codes won't be available until February 11, 2025, so any listings before then are fraudulent.

Elden Ring Nightreign was unveiled at The Game Awards 2024 and is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in 2025. While an exact release date hasn't been announced, keep an eye on our Elden Ring Nightreign page for the latest updates.
