In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the side quest "A Good Scrub" initiates a series of bathhouse-related tasks, leading you to search for various items. One such item, crucial for the quest "Ill Repute," is something infested with fleas for Betty. Here’s a detailed guide on how to find this item and complete the related quests.
Pick Up 'A Good Scrub'
To start, talk to the innkeeper in Kuttenberg about work, who will direct you to the bathhouse owner, Betty. Be aware that Kuttenberg has two bathhouses; Betty's is located in the southeast part of the city. When you meet her, mention that you heard she has work, and she will task you with going to Grund to find Matsek.
Matsek is hesitant about being seen with the girls he's supposed to bring to the bathhouse. Approach him in the courtyard where he's standing near three girls at a table. Tell them you're there for Betty, and they will agree to head to the city with you.
Promote the Bathhouse
Upon returning with the girls, Betty will ask you to help spread the word about the bathhouse to attract more customers. Work with her to craft a promotional spiel, then shout it at the grain market, horse market, vintners' street, and merchants' street. This task must be done during the day, so if it's evening when you receive the quest, wait until morning.
Clean Up the Bathhouse and Finish 'A Good Scrub'
The next step is to clean the bathhouse before the alderman arrives for an inspection. Completing these tasks quickly is crucial; failure to do so will result in the bathhouse being shut down, preventing you from picking up the "Ill Repute" quest from Betty.
Finding Fleas for 'Ill Repute' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
After successfully passing the inspection, speak with Betty about ongoing issues with the bathhouse. She will inform you that the council is deciding on the city's main bathhouse, and you need to make the councillor leave the competing bathhouse. To achieve this, gather information on the councillor's dislikes by talking to Meaty Mary, Katcha, and Little Lida.
For the councillor's preferences, you'll need Chamomile Brew to add to the wine cask on the second floor of the competing bathhouse. Lida will reveal that the councillor likes fragrant oils only after you give her a noblewomen's dress from a tailor. To sabotage further, go to the third floor, lockpick a cabinet, and steal the oils.
Katcha mentions that the bathhouse once had fleas. To find the flea-infested item in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, head to the east gate of Kuttenberg City. There, you'll find a small camp of beggars. Search the sacks in this camp to locate a flea-infested blanket.
Once you have the fleas, return to the bathhouse and go back to the room where you added the Chamomile Brew to the wine. When no one is watching, interact with the baskets in the room and pour the fleas into Councillor Naaz’s laundry basket and the clean laundry basket.
If you're unable to find the flea-infested item, remember that completing just one of the three tasks (Chamomile Brew, fragrant oils, or fleas) will be enough to make the councillor leave, allowing you to finish the quest and move on to others like "Axe from the Lake."
