No More PlayStation Plus Subscription Required
Square Enix surprised players today with the news that their 4v4 premium shooter, Foamstars, will become free-to-play. This significant change, announced via an update on their support page, also removes the requirement for a PlayStation Plus subscription. Currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, Foamstars will be available for free download and play starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC.
Players who purchased Foamstars before the price change will receive a special "Legacy Gift" as a thank you. This exclusive in-game bundle includes:
- 12 color-variant Bubble Beastie skins
- 1 exclusive Slide Board design
- 1 title: "Legacy"
