Playing The Getaway in Fortnite
Accessing The Getaway is straightforward. Launch Fortnite on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and select Discover. Locate The Getaway mode and click Play to join the matchmaking queue.
If you're having trouble finding it, use the search function in the Lobby's top-left corner by typing "The Getaway" - the mode should appear instantly.
What Is The Getaway?
This heist-inspired mode challenges players to locate map jewels and escape via getaway vans. As a PvP experience, you'll compete against multiple teams simultaneously pursuing the same objective.
Victory goes to the first three teams successfully escaping with jewels, though eliminating competitors also advances your position. New for this iteration, The Getaway now supports Zero Build gameplay and offers various team options including Duos, Squads, and Ranked/Unranked playlists.
The Getaway Start and End Dates
Currently available in Fortnite, The Getaway will be removed April 1 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time.
We recommend experiencing this mode while available, as matches contribute valuable XP toward battle pass progression.
