Game journalist Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 has announced its nominees for 19 categories. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth leads with seven nominations, including a coveted Game of the Year nod. Competing for GOTY are breakout hit Astro Bot, indie darling Balatro, cultural phenomenon Black Myth: Wukong, the highly anticipated RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, and the divisive Elden Ring expansion, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Voting is open now until December 11th on The Game Awards' official website and Discord server.
Voting Open! Winners Revealed December 12, 2024
The Game Awards 2024 ceremony takes place on December 12th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where the winners will be revealed. The event will be live-streamed on The Game Awards website, as well as various social media platforms and video networks, including Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube.
