Nearing Its Full Release
In their recent update on Twitter (X), Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. Celebrating this milestone, the developer expressed gratitude towards the community for their support and highlighted their progress towards the game's full release.
Their post stated, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"
The original Hades followed a similar path, spending 22 months in early access before its full release. Supergiant Games, however, aims to bring Hades 2 to full release more quickly, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2
During Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video series, Supergiant Games disclosed that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 slated for release on June 5, fans can anticipate Hades 2 to be available around that time.
The game stands as the eagerly awaited sequel to the beloved rogue-like, Hades. Supergiant Games noted that this marks their first venture into creating a sequel, a process they approach with "a great deal of fear and respect."
