A Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer has uncovered exciting evidence suggesting that the brutal fighting game could soon introduce Hara-Kiri Fatalities, possibly in the form of Quitalities. Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what appear to be Hara-Kiri Fatalities, a feature first introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deception back in 2004, where the defeated player performs a self-Fatality.

What makes this discovery particularly intriguing is that InfiniteNightZ found Hara-Kiri animations for recently released DLC characters like Ghostface, suggesting that these animations might be included in an upcoming update for Mortal Kombat 1. "After seeing that they're adding it to the downloaded roster now, I think it's highly possible," InfiniteNightZ commented.
Furthermore, InfiniteNightZ hinted that these Hara-Kiri animations might be introduced as Quitalities, as they are referenced in the game's code. Quitalities are quick finishers that activate when a player quits a multiplayer match, a feature seen in previous Mortal Kombat games. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ added.
Following InfiniteNightZ's discovery, another prominent Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer, Interloko, revealed additional Hara-Kiri animations, further supporting the speculation.
Thanks @MatthewDim40523 for tagging me. Here are another 2 missing from the video, so looks like only Omniman and Conan doesn't have one. I didn't try to trigger it in the game because I'm busy finishing some stuff of the demo of my own game https://t.co/TqBKyauY0G pic.twitter.com/hL4QzLRXwf

However, it's important to note that neither NetherRealm nor Warner Bros. Games has officially announced the addition of Quitalities to Mortal Kombat 1, so these findings might not lead to an actual feature update.
Mortal Kombat 1 has recently seen a surge in popularity with the addition of a secret fight against Floyd, the pink ninja, and the community's efforts to unlock him. Fans also have the T-1000 guest character to look forward to, with potential for more DLC on the horizon, though NetherRealm has yet to confirm any further additions.
