How to Get a Horse in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

by Olivia Feb 23,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, acquiring a steed can initially feel daunting given the game's expansive world. This guide outlines two methods: reclaiming your original horse or stealing one.

Reclaiming Pebbles:

Your starting horse, Pebbles, can be retrieved from the horse trader in Semine (south of the map). However, securing her return requires either paying Groschen, employing persuasion, or intimidation. Depending on your character's progression (e.g., working with Radovan and acquiring finer attire), persuasion might yield a free return, albeit at a reputational cost in Semine. Failure to persuade necessitates payment.

Stealing a Horse:

Alternatively, you can acquire a horse through less legitimate means. Wild horses are rare; your best bet is targeting farms or stables. This carries the risk of being apprehended.

A viable option involves the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond (west). Two horses are available for the taking. Once mounted, ride to the nearby Nomads’ Camp. There, a horse trainer can saddle and tame your newly acquired mount for a fee. Alternatively, you can forgo this service and ride the horse untamed.
