LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

by Nora May 05,2025

LEGO has unveiled an exciting lineup of nine new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of Star Wars Day. This annual event, known as "May the 4th," typically sees LEGO release a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. Past releases have included Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year, fans can look forward to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, famously known as Slave I among long-time enthusiasts. The name was officially changed to Firespray-Class Starship in 2021 at Disney's request, a change that LEGO has confirmed and which appears to be permanent.

The last significant version of this LEGO starship was released in 2019 to commemorate the 20th anniversary, featuring 1007 pieces and depicting the ship as seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new iteration, boasting 2970 pieces, reflects the ship's appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. This set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, measuring 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
