Get ready to brawl! NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals is opening a closed beta test on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam in late July/early August. PC players got a sneak peek in May's alpha, experiencing thrilling 6v6 combat with a selection of iconic Marvel heroes and villains.
The upcoming beta expands on the alpha with fresh content. New playable characters, Adam Warlock and Venom, join the roster, alongside a new map, Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands. A special Scarlet Spider suit for Spider-Man awaits PS5 beta participants upon the game's full release.
Registration is now open! Console players (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) can sign up via a short questionnaire to be considered for the beta, running from July 23rd, 6 PM ET (3 PM PT) to August 5th, 3 AM ET (12 AM PT). Steam users can wishlist the game for a chance to participate, with access requests opening July 20th. Successful applicants will receive notification. The beta is open to players in North America, Europe, and Asia, with a key focus on cross-play functionality.
While the participant numbers remain undisclosed, console hopefuls should register promptly. Marvel Rivals shows great promise as a hero shooter, and this beta will refine cross-play between consoles and PC, bolstering its already impressive foundation.
