NetEase Games has announced a ban on keyboard and mouse adapters in Marvel Rivals on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The use of adapters like XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper, which simulate gamepad input from a keyboard and mouse, is considered a violation of the game's terms of service. This is due to the unfair advantage provided by increased control precision and maintained aim assist, creating an imbalance, particularly in competitive modes.
NetEase employs advanced detection technology to identify adapter usage with high accuracy, resulting in account suspensions upon detection.
Separately, the game has been experiencing an issue where higher FPS correlates with increased ping. While this may be less noticeable with already high ping, a jump from, for example, 90ms to 150ms can significantly impact gameplay. This appears linked to frame rate. Until a patch addresses this, players are advised to experiment with FPS settings, with some suggesting maintaining around 90 FPS as a temporary solution, though this may differ from optimal settings in other titles.
