Use Flash Pod
Despite its massive size, Doshaguma is remarkably agile, capable of leaping and dashing around the arena. This makes it a challenging target, especially for melee weapon users. To gain the upper hand, deploy a Flash Pod to temporarily blind the monster. This brief window of opportunity allows you to land critical hits or even mount the beast for a strategic advantage.
Attack the Legs
Focus your attacks on Doshaguma's legs, particularly the forelegs, which have a 3-star weakness, making them highly vulnerable. While the back legs are less effective with only a 2-star weakness, they're still viable targets. Don't overlook the head, another 3-star weak point, ideal for dealing significant damage. Additionally, consider targeting the tail; breaking it not only deals damage but also yields valuable monster parts.
Use Fire and Lightning
In your battle against Doshaguma, leverage the power of fire and lightning elements. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee fighters can enhance their weapons with fire skill decorations. Aim for the head and torso when using fire, and focus exclusively on the head for lightning attacks to maximize your elemental damage.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status ailment that leads to an explosion if not addressed. To counteract this, use a Nulberry or Deodorant, or dodge-roll up to three times to dispel the effect before it becomes critical.
Use Traps
Strategically utilize the environment to your advantage. Doshaguma's territory often features natural traps that can be activated to hinder its movements. Remember to sheath your weapon before using your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap before triggering it.

How to Capture Doshaguma in Monster Hunter Wilds

Beyond defeating Doshaguma, you can also opt to capture it alive. To do so, weaken the monster until its HP drops to 20% or less. Then, set up a Shock or Pitfall Trap in its path. If the monster isn't focused on you, use Luring Ammo or place meat as bait to draw it into the trap. Once trapped, quickly administer tranquilizers, possibly multiple doses, to ensure the beast falls asleep and can be captured.
