Monster Hunter Wilds Gets PC Benchmark and New System Requirements

by George Mar 21,2025

Get ready to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is almost here, and Capcom has just released a PC benchmark tool on Steam to help you check if your rig is ready for the action. Even better, they've also lowered the official PC system requirements!

Capcom's benchmark tool, available now on Steam, is a quick and easy way to see how your system performs. It's especially useful now that the system requirements have been updated. Previously, hitting 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation required a beefy setup. But now, the bar has been lowered.

The updated recommended specifications for 1080p (FHD) at 60fps with Frame Generation enabled are:

OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 11 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory: 16 GB Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) Storage: 75 GB (SSD required)

This should ensure smooth gameplay at 1080p and 60fps with Frame Generation, according to Capcom. The updated requirements represent a significant, yet welcome, decrease in the hardware needed.

Early benchmark results show improved performance compared to the beta, especially with Frame Generation enabled. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains questionable.

Another notable change is the reduced storage requirement. The game now only needs 75 GB of SSD space, down from the previously stated 140 GB. This is a surprising reduction, especially given the typical growth of game file sizes.
