During the ID@Xbox Showcase event, the team behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault unveiled an exciting new trailer, giving fans a first look at the much-anticipated sequel. It was also announced that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with a launch expected before the year's end.
Developed by Digital Sun in collaboration with publisher 11 bit studios, Moonlighter 2 is an isometric action-adventure RPG infused with roguelike elements. Players take on the role of a shopkeeper on a mission to transform their humble store into a thriving business by exploring perilous dungeons, collecting rare artifacts, and engaging in fierce battles with monstrous creatures.
Digital Sun has promised that Moonlighter 2 builds upon the original game's success, offering richer storytelling and improved gameplay mechanics. The narrative follows the protagonist, Will, as he searches for his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Along his journey, Will reconnects with familiar faces and forges new alliances. A mysterious trader presents him with a quest to find powerful relics that could lead him back to his native realm.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, known for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to the release of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault later this year on PC (via Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
