Dogs are truly the best companions you can have in video games, and *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is no exception. Henry's loyal dog, Mutt, unfortunately goes missing early in the story, but fear not—we've got the details on how to reunite with him in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Mutt Location
While there's an entire side quest dedicated to finding Mutt, you can skip the hassle with this shortcut. Mutt can be found near a wolf cave, located southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river bathing spot. Check out the screenshot below for his exact location.
The most straightforward way to reach Mutt is to fast travel to the Nomads’ Camp, then head southwest into the forest along the path. This will lead you directly to the cave. As you near the area, listen for Mutt's whines, which will guide you closer to the cave entrance. You'll find Mutt and a few wolves in a clearing nearby.
Approaching the cave will trigger a cutscene introducing you to Mutt and the wolves. You'll also receive a tutorial on how to give Mutt commands during battles. At this point, you have the option to fight the wolves or flee. Since wolves and wild animals in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* aren't particularly challenging, it's a good opportunity to engage them to boost your combat skills.
Once you've dealt with the wolves, Mutt will be at your command. By holding L1 and looking at him, you can interact with Mutt, feeding him from your inventory or sending him back to your home.
Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest
It's worth noting that you might encounter the wolf cave during the Invaders side quest if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry follows Vasko up a hill to fetch more liquor, leading directly to the cave. This triggers the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, but you'll have to manage the situation while intoxicated.
For the best outcome, I recommend finding and rescuing Mutt during the day before proceeding with the Invaders quest. Dealing with wolves while drunk and in the dark is extremely challenging, and attempting to flee could result in a fatal fall due to poor visibility.
And that's how you find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
