Myst-Like Lovecraftian Point-And-Click Puzzle My Father Lied Is Coming to Android This Year

In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique title can be a challenge. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative and intriguing blend of mystery and Lovecraftian elements. This puzzle adventure game boasts a captivating story that sets it apart from the crowd.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Journey

The game's creation story is as fascinating as the game itself. Developer Ahmed Alameen, initially a writer and filmmaker, initially collaborated on a game project in 2020, but that venture fell through. Undeterred, Alameen pursued his vision independently, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine to bring his unique story to life. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery

My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: What happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.

Blending ancient Mesopotamian culture with a modern narrative, the game offers a unique experience. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, avoiding complex controls, and showcases beautiful 2D visuals and immersive 360-degree images.
