Ultimate Chicken Horse is now available on mobile devices. Originally launched in 2016 by Clever Endeavour Games, this eccentric party platformer has been ported to mobile by Noodlecake. Now you can finally jump into the chaotic fun that has friends screaming and laughing as their own traps backfire.
In Ultimate Chicken Horse, Friendship Means Sabotage!
This is a game where you and up to three friends race to reach the goal. The real fun lies in how you get there. You can pick from a cast of cartoon animals like a chicken, horse, sheep, or raccoon. Crucially, you also build the course itself as you play.
The comedy unfolds between the platforming. Each round starts with players placing traps or helpful platforms onto the stage. Then everyone attempts to complete the newly altered level. If you succeed while others fail, you earn points. But if everyone finishes—or no one does—the round ends with no score.
The game features 17 distinct levels. You'll encounter new hazards, interact with quirky moving parts, and can share your own custom levels or try community creations. The built-in level editor is powerful, offering a wide selection of traps and objects.
A Challenge Mode is included for solo play. However, unlocking all characters and stages still requires playing multiplayer, particularly in the core Party Mode.
How Did Ultimate Chicken Horse Develop?
The concept originated from a game jam combining the themes "Modular," "Phrase," and "The Ultimate _". The initial idea resembled Scribblenauts, where letters would transform into platforms.
As the team at Clever Endeavour experimented, they shifted focus toward pure platforming mechanics. They eventually drew inspiration from titles like Super Meat Boy for precise controls.
With its arrival on mobile, Ultimate Chicken Horse provides the perfect chaotic game for impromptu gatherings. The strategy remains timeless: design a course just difficult enough to trip up your friends, but not so hard that you can't beat it yourself.
Ultimate Chicken Horse supports both online and local multiplayer, including a shared-controller mode. You can try it for free, with a single in-app purchase unlocking the complete experience. Download it now on the Google Play Store.
