Death Stranding enthusiasts, brace for an exciting update. The much-anticipated sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is slated for release in June, and its leading actor, Norman Reedus, recently shared insights about the game and its upcoming film adaptation in an IGN interview.

“If given the chance, absolutely,” Reedus responded when asked about portraying himself in the film adaptation, which was confirmed last month to be in development with Michael Sarnoski and A24. “It’s still in very early stages, but I’d be on board.”

We also inquired whether Reedus still found the game’s narrative complex, as he did with the original, but he expressed strong confidence in creator Hideo Kojima. “Working with him is unpredictable—nobody can fully grasp his vision,” the Walking Dead star remarked. “He’s a creative genius with bold ideas. This time, the story feels clearer, with more action and a defined objective.”

Regardless of the complexities in the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains enthusiastic. “It’s always an adventure working on these projects,” he shared with IGN. “It’s thrilling, yet unpredictable.”

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to launch on June 26, 2025.
