So, Peglin, the Pachinko Roguelike, has finally reached its 1.0 milestone on Android, iOS, and PC. Yes, 'finally!' After over a year in early access, the full version of this delightful game has been released, and it's quite an exciting drop (especially if you've played the early access version, you know what I'm talking about!).
But What Really Makes Peglin So Much Fun?
Developed and published by Red Nexus Games, Peglin offers turn-based gameplay that ingeniously blends Pachinko mechanics with rogue-like elements. Fans of Peggle and Slay the Spire will find Peglin's gameplay familiar and refreshing. The game features four unique goblin classes: Peglin, Balladin, Roundrel, and Spinventor. You start as the small green goblin, Peglin, the starter class, and unlock the other three as you progress.
In Peglin, you're tired of dragons stealing your gold, so you and your fellow goblins embark on a revenge quest. Rendered in charming pixel-art style, you use orbs to blast through levels filled with bouncing pegs. It's a fun and engaging experience that keeps you hooked.
So, What Does Peglin 1.0 Bring?
Peglin 1.0 brings a lot to the table! The final Cruciball levels, 17 to 20, are now live, making the game even more challenging and thrilling. Minibosses are tougher, regular battles can feature additional enemies, and bosses have some nasty surprises up their sleeves. A new forest miniboss, Slime Hive, summons a bunch of Slimedrops, adding to the game's intensity.
The update also introduces a new rare relic, the Crystal Catalyst, which boosts Spinfection damage. Alongside this, there are numerous balance changes and quality-of-life updates. For example, when facing Thesaurosus, the peg board reshuffles, ensuring you don't get stuck with a terrible layout throughout the fight.
