Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Classic Nintendo Console Theme

Pikmin Bloom is all set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is pulling out all the stops by reintroducing some nostalgic gadgets into the game. The festivities are set to begin with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with a variety of fun decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, Pikmin Bloom is bringing back the charm of classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.

Adding to the nostalgia, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced. This is a tribute to Nintendo's roots when the company was primarily known for manufacturing playing cards before venturing into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.

The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving you a full month to immerse yourself in the missions and collect exciting new Pikmin. Every time you successfully complete an Event Challenge mission, you'll receive random rewards such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing them will reward you with Mystery Boxes containing items like Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May will see the blooming of large flowers such as carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses. These blooms can be achieved by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

There's also a nectar update for May; fruit from mushrooms will provide nectar for regular flowers, as well as for special flowers like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.

Beyond these features, the 3.5th anniversary will include additional activities like Community Day. Don't miss out on the fun—download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the celebration.
