Pokémon Legends: Z Release Date Surfaces Online

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Potential August 2025 Release Date Surfaces

A potential release date for the highly anticipated Pokémon Legends: Z-A has emerged, hinting at an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025, quickly disappeared, replaced with a generic placeholder. However, the leaked date aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window for the game.

Initially unveiled during the 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the anticipated sequel to 2022's Pokémon Legends: Arceus. While details remain scarce since its announcement, the game promises to continue the exploration-focused gameplay of its predecessor, prioritizing open-ended gameplay and collection over traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League.

The Amazon UK listing leak, discovered by content creator Light88, briefly displayed the August 15th date before being swiftly removed. This brief appearance adds fuel to speculation surrounding the game's imminent release.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The official release date could be unveiled sooner than expected. Given the original announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, it's highly likely that the release date will be confirmed during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, scheduled for February 27th. This date aligns with the original Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green, further supporting its validity. Recent findings from a Pokémon GO datamine also corroborate this February 27th date.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly anticipate a gameplay reveal, potentially debuting alongside the release date announcement during the Pokémon Day 2025 presentation.

Switch and Switch 2 Compatibility Confirmed

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be available on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, with Nintendo confirming backward compatibility. While the possibility of post-launch DLC remains, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received a single free update, "Daybreak," suggesting a different approach may be taken with the sequel.
