Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator's Global Server to Shut Down
Sad news for global players of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games have announced the end of service (EOS) for the game's global version, effective March 28th, 2025. This comes just over a year after its January 2024 launch. The Japanese version, launched in September 2023, will continue operation.
The timing is particularly ironic, as the Japanese server will be celebrating its 1.5th anniversary in March 2025, the same month the global version shuts down.
End of Service Details:
- Date: March 28th, 2025
- In-game purchases: Already disabled. Remaining Lodestar Gems can be used until the shutdown.
- Final Content: Koei Tecmo promises new content and events leading up to the closure.
Reasons for Shutdown:
The developers cited an inability to maintain a satisfactory player experience. The game struggled to gain traction, with player complaints surfacing about the gacha system, gameplay, monetization, and excessive power creep shortly after launch. These factors ultimately contributed to the decision to end the global service.
While the global version is closing, players can still access the game on the Google Play Store to enjoy any remaining content or say their farewells.
