Clash Royale's Unexpected Collaboration: Michael Bolton Becomes the "Barboltian"

Supercell, the creators of Clash Royale, have once again surprised us with an unconventional celebrity partnership. This time, it's none other than Michael Bolton, teaming up with the game's iconic Barbarian character. Following in the footsteps of Erling Haaland in Clash of Clans and Gordon Ramsay in Hay Day, this collaboration is arguably Supercell's most bizarre yet.

The collaboration centers around a new music video featuring a reimagined version of Bolton's classic hit, "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You." The Barbarian, sporting a fresh mullet and handlebar mustache, transforms into the "Barboltian" for this unique performance. The video is specifically targeted at lapsed Clash Royale players, aiming to lure them back into the game.

Beyond the music video, the song will also be available on major music streaming platforms. However, there's currently no announced rewards campaign to incentivize returning players. Supercell is seemingly relying on the Barboltian's vocal charm to reignite interest.

Will the Music Video Reclaim Players?

While the collaboration is undeniably humorous and unexpected, the effectiveness of a parody music video in attracting lapsed players remains questionable. Hopefully, Supercell will implement additional in-game promotions or a return campaign to further entice former players.

In the meantime, for those tempted back to Clash Royale, our regularly updated tier list provides a comprehensive ranking of all cards to assist in your strategic planning.
