The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has officially kicked off, marking the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year. Over 90,000 competitors are vying for a share of the impressive $500,000 prize pool. Open Qualifiers, which began February 13th, provide a crucial pathway for aspiring players to showcase their skills and compete against established teams.

This year's tournament is open exclusively to amateur teams, guaranteeing a spotlight on fresh talent. Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. The coming weeks will see intense competition as teams fight for a spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the top performers from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

ytTwelve teams will emerge victorious from the Prelims, earning the coveted opportunity to challenge the world's best professional PUBG Mobile players in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their Main Event spots based on their exceptional performance in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Four more teams will join them, qualifying through regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers run until March 2nd, leading to the Prelims on April 10th-11th, and culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the exciting beginning of a packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and PMGC returning later in 2025.
