Subway Surfers is celebrating its 13th anniversary this month, so SYBO has big plans for players around the world.
You’ll be on a global adventure with Subway Surfers on its 13th Anniversary. The event starts on May 12th.
The Game Is Heading Back to Where It All Began!
It begins in Copenhagen. The 13th Anniversary update adds new content to the Danish capital and introduces a new kind of daily city-hopping challenge.
You’ll run through not just Copenhagen, but also unlock up to 21 other cities such as Paris, Rio, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. To visit all these exciting locations, you need to collect World Tour suitcase tokens in each place to unlock the next one.
The update introduces the 200th destination in the World Tour series. If you're not aware, Subway Surfers has been traveling around the world since 2013. They are currently in Osaka celebrating Golden Week.
Osaka is filled with neon lights, traditional elements, and exclusive content to discover. Saru and Oni Hime are the latest characters joining the game.
Saru can be unlocked through the Season Challenge, while Oni Hime is available in a special offer. Additionally, new social features like Player Names and Friend Lists are being introduced. Check it out here.
Gear Up for the Subway Surfers 13th Anniversary
The game launched on May 23rd, 2012. With 150 million monthly players and over four billion downloads globally, it certainly deserves a big anniversary celebration. After 12 years and 199 cities, Subway Surfers continues to connect global players through local scenery.
Meanwhile, from May 12th to June 1st, there is additional content available. You will receive two new travel-themed characters, Loc and Stevie. There are also new outfits, hoverboards, and rewards to collect.
