What is Suikoden I & II HD Remaster?
Originally released in Japan in 1995 and 1998 on the PlayStation, Suikoden I and II have now been remastered for modern platforms. These games became available in the West a year after their Japanese release. The core gameplay revolves around recruiting 108 warriors to form your army and battle against evil forces.
The remaster maintains the charm of the original pixelated graphics but enhances them for modern wide-screen displays. The spell effects have been smoothed out, and character portraits have been redrawn in HD. Additionally, the game introduces quality-of-life improvements such as the ability to speed up battles, an auto-battle mode, auto-save functionality, a conversation log, and a revamped user interface that simplifies tasks like changing equipment.
