NetherRealm and WB Games have just dropped the official gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated T-1000, set to join the roster of Mortal Kombat 1 next Tuesday. This character brings a unique twist to the game with his ability to transform into liquid metal, allowing for creative projectile dodging. Fans who loved playing as Kabal in previous entries will find T-1000 particularly appealing, as some of Kabal's iconic weapons and moves have been integrated into Mortal Kombat 1.
The trailer pays homage to the classic film Terminator 2: Judgment Day with several nods, including a recreation of the memorable scene where T-1000 wags his finger—a gesture that's actually banned in the NBA for being unsportsmanlike. Additionally, T-1000 interacts with Johnny Cage, asking if he's seen John Connor, further cementing the character's roots in the Terminator universe.
Alongside T-1000, the trailer introduced Madam Bo, who will also be added to the game. T-1000's Fatality showcases his ability to change his appearance and replace his victim, a chillingly efficient method for completing his mission.
No additional announcements were made by WB Games, fueling rumors that this might be the final wave of new content for Mortal Kombat 1. Speculation is rife that a new game announcement could be on the horizon, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
