Torchlight: Infinite is gearing up for an exciting new chapter with the launch of Season 8: Sandlord on April 17th. This season promises to be a game-changer, introducing the captivating Cloud Oasis and a host of fresh economic gameplay mechanics. Additionally, the Deep Space area has been completely revamped, ensuring an even more thrilling endgame experience.
The Sandlord season introduces the Cloud Oasis, a floating city where players will engage in economic management. This new feature allows you to trade resources, assign workers, and manage production lines to construct your own aerial empire. It's not just about battling monsters anymore; it's about building and strategizing in the skies.
Returning with a twist is Thea, now featuring the Blasphemer trait. She trades her divine powers for the Desecration curse, which starts off weak but scales significantly, enhancing Erosion damage based on the remaining blessing power. This mechanic is perfect for players who enjoy damage-over-time and synergistic build strategies, offering the potential to evolve into powerful AoE explosions or HP-scaling effects.
Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite is receiving a major overhaul with the rework of Deep Space. This update brings five new stages, larger maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now adjust the risk and reward dynamics using the new Probes system, where each probe increases the challenge level but also the potential for better loot, including Compass chests via the Compass Probe.
The update also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot. This system offers deeper customization and build options. A new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown, adding another layer of challenge and excitement.
To celebrate the launch, Torchlight: Infinite is hosting the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
