Ubisoft will unveil two hours of gameplay from Assassin's Creed Shadows tomorrow

The upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows livestream will showcase protagonists Naoe and Yasuke navigating quests, exploring Harima Province, and confronting formidable foes. Developers will not only demonstrate gameplay but also engage with viewers, offering insights into their approach to this latest installment.

Set in feudal Japan, Assassin's Creed Shadows plunges players into a world of samurai conflict and political intrigue. Initially slated for a March 20, 2025 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, the game's launch has been revised.

Industry insider Tom Henderson sheds light on the delay, citing the need to rectify historical and cultural inaccuracies and enhance overall polish. Contrary to speculation, Yasuke's role remains intact, although his storyline will undergo revisions.

Henderson attributes the game's setbacks to several factors: the late integration of historical consultants and internal communication challenges. Furthermore, the game's technical readiness is still under development, requiring further bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. While the latter will require more time, Henderson's sources suggest a Valentine's Day, February 14th, release remains a possibility, given the developers' progress.
