Unlocking Astro Bot's Lost Galaxy: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals
Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players dozens of explorable worlds, but a hidden tenth world, the Lost Galaxy, requires finding secret portals scattered throughout the game. This guide details the location and access method for each portal. Look for a swirling icon on the level select screen to indicate a hidden portal within that stage.
Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail
Mid-level, locate a dark room with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Extinguish all torches using the Twin-Frog Gloves to reveal the portal.
Portal #2: Creamy Canyon
Early in the level, past a bouncing ladybug, grab the charging pig. Swing it to target the icy statue, releasing the pig to destroy it. Backtrack, flip over the ladybug, bounce to the platform above, and perform a charged spin attack to access the portal room.
Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago
After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his embedded claw. A glowing light indicates a spot for a charged spin attack, revealing a hidden room containing the portal and treasure.
Portal #4: Downsize Surprise
Near the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to activate the bubbles. Shrink, ride a bubble to an upper branch, then jump to the opposite branch to find the portal.
Portal #5: Free Big Brother!
At the level's start, turn around and find platforms with an electric enemy. Lure the enemy to electrocute the platforms, opening the wall behind and revealing the portal.
Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle
Find the house with a flaming chimney. Absorb water, reach the roof, extinguish the flames, and descend the chimney to find the portal room.
Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid
At the level's end, turn right to an area with falling jewels. Use the bounce pad to reach a hidden area. Activate a trap and find two hidden switches to open the pathway to the portal.
Portal #8: Balloon Breeze
Obtain the puffer-fish power-up. Backtrack to an early area with a distant platform and a ladybug. Flip the ladybug towards the platform, bounce on it, activate the puffer-fish, hover to the platform, and use motion controls to clear bamboo around the portal before activating it by circling it.
Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp
After defeating Djinny, climb the glowing ruins, using Astro's hover ability to reach invisible platforms. Ride the unfurled rug to another platform containing the portal.
Portal #10: Frozen Meal
Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside area containing the final portal.
