If you're like me and have big plans to upgrade your gaming setup over Memorial Day weekend, now might be the perfect time to take advantage of the sales. With the uncertainty surrounding tariffs and potential price increases, it feels like a now or never situation. I've been browsing various sales, especially the Wayfair sale, which has been live since last week. I'm looking to buy a new office chair, desk, and a bookcase for my games. Wayfair's user-friendly interface has made it easy to navigate and find deals, but I've also been checking out IGN's picks for the best gaming chairs and desks to ensure I'm considering all options.
If you're also looking to upgrade your gaming setup or office during these sales, here are my suggestions on how to approach it.
Start With the Wayfair Sale
Furniture - Wayfair Memorial Day sale
Sort through thousands of home and office deals. See it at Wayfair
Although Amazon's Memorial Day sale offers discounts on a wide range of products, Wayfair specializes in furniture deals. It's a great starting point due to the vast number of deals and the ease of filtering out non-Memorial Day items. You can narrow down your search by dimensions, material, color, and price. Even if you don't purchase anything from Wayfair, it's an excellent resource for figuring out what you want for your space. I've had good experiences with Wayfair for items like bookshelves, rugs, lamps, and tables.
However, keep in mind that Wayfair may not carry all the top brands. While their prices are competitive for standard furniture, they might not be the best place for high-end office chairs or gaming-specific desks.
Splurge on Comfort Only
If you're revamping your entire setup, I recommend splurging on the chair. My current chair is falling apart, and I'm ready for a significant upgrade, especially since I'll be using it for both work and gaming. I'm still deciding between a gaming chair and an office chair, but IGN's recommendation of the Secretlab Titan Evo has caught my eye, especially with their ongoing sale.

Get Your Accessories at Amazon
Customizing your gaming setup with accessories like RGB lights, mouse pads, laptop stands, headset holders, and Steam Deck docks is crucial. Amazon typically offers the best prices on these items. While Wayfair might have fun items like a Darth Vader cardboard cutout, Amazon is my go-to for most accessories.
The Biggest Sale - Amazon Memorial Day Sale
It's also worth noting that Amazon has some of the best Memorial Day TV deals, with the LG C4 hitting a new all-time low, making it an excellent choice for both console and PC gamers.
Upgrade Your Gaming PC While You Can
I currently rely on my Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch for gaming, which is great for mobility but not for performance. Upgrading to a new PC with an RTX 5090 is out of my budget, especially with potential future purchases like the Switch 2 on the horizon. However, if you're in the market for a new gaming laptop or PC, Memorial Day sales are a prime time to shop. I'd suggest starting with the Dell Memorial Day sale, but also check out discounts at HP, Lenovo, and Best Buy.
