Morph Painting Restoration puzzles are not only simple but also rewarding, offering valuable resources like Astrites in Wuthering Waves. Below is a comprehensive guide on how these puzzles function, their locations, and how to solve them.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
To restore Morph Paintings, you need to identify and place the correct paintings on their designated pedestals. Each pedestal comes with a descriptive clue to help you find the right portrait. Use your Levitator utility to position the painting correctly; the game typically switches to this tool automatically, but you can manually equip it by pressing Tab/D-Pad Left if needed.
Currently, there are two such paintings in the game, linked to the quests Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise and Trials of Old.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
As part of the Shadows of the Past questline in Wuthering Waves, you'll explore all three towers at Thorncrown - Thessaleo Falls. The Resounding Rise tower features a Morph Painting puzzle. Here’s how to solve it, using the central large painting as your guide:
- Swap the paintings located at the front-left and back-right positions.
- Move the painting from behind the left pedestals to the back-left spot.
- Place the painting found behind the chairs on the right into the front-right position.
Once solved, a chest will materialize, allowing you to continue with the quest.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The Trials of Old quest involves navigating four distinct trials near Porto-Veno Castle in the eastern part of Thessaleo Fells. Within the Trial of Wisdom, you'll encounter another Morph Painting puzzle. Arrange the paintings on the pedestals to narrate a story from left to right. The correct arrangement is depicted in the image above.
A helpful tip to ensure you're placing the right Morph Painting on the correct pedestal is to check if the painting frame illuminates after placement. This visual cue can help you bypass the puzzle's complexity effortlessly.
