"Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update"

by Finn Apr 01,2025

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming, is about to undergo a significant transformation that will fundamentally change how you play. Supercell has announced the complete removal of troop training times, allowing you to deploy your army almost instantly and dive into battles faster than ever before. This follows the earlier removal of training costs in 2022, marking a continued effort to modernize the game and address its aging mechanics.

Starting immediately, Training Potions and Training Treats will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards. You can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for now, but be sure to use them before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems. This shift underscores the urgency to adapt to the new mechanics swiftly.

Training DayTo facilitate a smooth transition, Supercell is introducing a new feature called "Match Anytime." This mechanic lets you attack a snapshot of another player's base if no real-time opponents are available. You'll still earn rewards, but the players whose bases are used won't lose anything if defeated. This system, already in use for Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now become a standard feature.

Additionally, keep an eye out for other changes, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For a comprehensive overview of all the updates, head over to the Supercell blog.
