Following the buzz around their new game Project C4, ZA/UM has unveiled plans for an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed RPG, Disco Elysium. Exclusively available on Android devices, this mobile iteration aims to introduce the game to a fresh audience while offering a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. The first two chapters will be available to download for free, with the option to unlock the full game through a one-time purchase, ensuring an ad-free experience.
ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, allowing players to make an informed decision before committing to the full game. "Today's ZA/UM studio is comprised of both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP," they stated, highlighting their dedication to preserving the game's integrity across platforms.

Studio head Denis Havel expressed enthusiasm about tapping into the TikTok audience, aiming to draw them in with "quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio," creating an engaging new form of entertainment. Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and a series of screenshots showcasing the game's new 360-degree scenes, designed to immerse players in the world of Revachol, and brand new audio with full voiceover for a richer character experience.
The official description describes this mobile version as a "total re-imagination" of Disco Elysium, tailored specifically for mobile users with short play sessions in mind. Narrative Lead Chris Priestman likened the experience to "what audiobooks wish they were," designed to be enjoyed in brief intervals.
Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that while the studio name remains ZA/UM, several key contributors to the original game have since departed, with some now working on spiritual successors.
