Casting Your Vote for 20th Anniversary Merchandise
Marking its 20th anniversary in December 2025, the Like A Dragon series launches a special fan engagement initiative. RGG Studios invites players to vote on which iconic in-game items should become real-world limited-edition collectibles.
The selection pool features 100 memorable items including lingerie sets, traditional incense, mahjong tiles, karaoke microphones, premium lighters, commemorative sake, character pillows, and Kiryu's legendary dragon mask. According to the official voting portal, the most popular choice will receive priority development for commercial release within two years.
Voting commenced on February 8, 2025 and continues through March 21, 2025, with participants allowed one daily vote. After the voting concludes, a second-stage survey will determine final product specifications for the winning merchandise.
Potential Game Remakes for the Anniversary Celebration
RGG Studio first outlined its 20th anniversary plans during its 19th anniversary celebration on December 8, 2024. In an official video message, Director Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed appreciation for longtime fans while previewing upcoming initiatives.
The celebration kicks off with Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20, 2025, followed by various anniversary events. While no specific game remakes have been confirmed, the studio's 10th anniversary precedent (which produced Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami) suggests possible major announcements may follow.
