Fun Dog Studios has recently rolled out a significant update for their extraction-survival game, The Forever Winter, titled The Descent to Averno is Easy. This update, available during the game's early access phase, brings substantial changes to core mechanics, enhancing the gameplay depth and overall player experience.
One of the standout features of this update is the revamped water system. Unlike the previous real-time consumption model, water now functions as a currency used to access various regions within the game. The price to enter these areas fluctuates daily, adding a strategic element to resource management. Players can now trade water with teammates before matches, prompting adjustments to quest rewards and resource distribution across the map. Those who have stockpiled water prior to this update are in for a treat, as they will receive a special bonus from the developers in upcoming patches.
Combat mechanics have undergone a major overhaul, with improvements to recoil, accuracy, weapon sway, and handling. Aiming mechanics, reload animations, and shotgun balance have been refined, with these enhancements already implemented in several weapons.
