What's New in Season 4?
This season introduces a frigid tundra habitat, complete with biting winds, deep snowdrifts, and a host of formidable monsters. Get ready to face off against newcomers Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex. Returning favorites Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos will also make appearances. Tigrex will be a major opponent in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the field. Unlock these powerful creatures by completing urgent quests throughout Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra is granted after completing the prologue.
A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe! This versatile weapon offers two distinct modes: Axe Mode for powerful, sweeping attacks, and Sword Mode for devastating close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by finishing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.
Season 4 also introduces customizable Palico companions! These helpful allies assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Personalize your Palico's fur color, facial features, and name, then capture AR photos with your unique creation in the real world.
Adding a social element, Friend Cheering lets you support your friends with temporary health boosts. While helpful, there's a daily limit to the amount of health you can gain from cheers.
