The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone can leverage existing resources to accelerate their progress. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens. While initially usable in Black Ops 6, a November 15th update addressed a bug that allowed this, removing direct activation within the Black Ops 6 interface.
These Legacy XP Tokens represent unused tokens carried over from previous Call of Duty titles accessible through the COD HQ app, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone. These tokens were earned through various methods in those games, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass progression, and brand promotions. While no longer directly usable in Black Ops 6, they remain active in Warzone.

Using Warzone XP Tokens to Boost Black Ops 6 Progress
At the Season 01 launch, players could activate their Warzone Legacy XP Tokens directly within Black Ops 6. However, this is no longer possible due to the update. Previously, the workaround involved activating the tokens in Warzone; the countdown timer would then appear in the Black Ops 6 UI. This method, while requiring switching between games and featuring a real-time countdown, significantly sped up leveling in Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
